Cancer specialists are involved in all stages of your care. They guarantee the quality and effectiveness of your care. They welcome you, listen to you and take the time to explain to you how your tests and treatments will be carried out. Multidisciplinary teams are fundamental to cancer treatment centres.
Every staff member at the Institute wears a badge so that you can learn their name and role.
If your referring doctor coordinates your care, all decisions relating to your treatment will be made after discussions have been made between various medical specialists. You can meet the department's referring doctor; if they are not available one of their team members, who will be fully informed about the state of your health, will look after you. The referring doctor guarantees the continuity of your care with your registered doctor. He will inform you of any medical supervision or monitoring that will be carried out.
Under the supervision of health executives, they provide top quality daily care and monitor the state of your health closely with doctors. Some have special skills that could prove to be very useful for you such as stoma therapy (1) or relaxation therapy (2).

They work in teams with nurses to ensure hygiene and comfort.
Care staff for radiotherapy, radiology and nuclear medicine departments. They carry out diagnostic tests or perfectly controlled treatments whilst listening to your needs.
They organise appointments, manage medical records and send medical updates to your registered doctor. They are your key contacts who help your during your treatment process at the Institute and provide a link to the medical practitioner in charge of your care.
They facilitate your transfers between departments.
They are responsible for the cleanliness and smooth running of your environment.
Whether you are being treated as an outpatient or in hospital, taking care of pain is a priority for the Institute's teams. Pain is there for a reason, do not let it settle. Don't hesitate to speak to your doctor or care team. There is not one but many different types of pain that can be distinguished by their location, length and intensity. Mental suffering increases pain. Everything possible is done to sooth pain, even if it cannot be completely removed.

They take care of your functional rehabilitation
Diseases and/or treatments can disturb your nutritional balance. Close monitoring is therefore required. This is provided on a daily basis by the dietary unit that offers menus suited to your tastes and the state of your health. The dietary unit works closely with your care team.
The Food and Nutrition Liaison Committee monitors your nutritional care and the quality of food services.
Management take orders for meals: breakfasts, lunches, snacks and dinner. You must ask them to install a telephone, TV and an extra bed if required.
