Various associations are available to help patients at the Institute. Volunteers from the associations meet with and provide services to patients. Ask a care executive or contact the associations directly for further information.

  • Cancer Support France Gascony

Provides support and help (information about cancer, visits etc.) to English speaking patients from all countries.

  • L’association des Visiteurs des malades des établissements hospitaliers (VMEH)

Every Tuesday afternoon, volunteers visit patients in all hospital wards.

On request, the association meets with women who have had a mastectomy or breast surgery.

Offers support to patients and their families. Representatives visit the Institute every afternoon during the week except on Tuesdays.

Volunteers visit the care units every Thursday from 3pm to 430pm and offer patients a large selection of free books.

The library is located on the ground floor next to the Grand'Place and is open every Thursday from 3pm to 4.30pm.

They support the Institute's objectives by organising exhibitions and by providing cosmetic treatments to hospitalised patients and outpatients.

The Ligue provides information and works to prevent and test for cancer. It provides psychological, physical and financial assistance and support to patients and their families.

They provide help people with a digestive or urinary ostomy on request. They visit the Institute every Thursday between 12:30am and 1:30pm.

They run educational and fun workshops in the Adour and Aubrac departments to entertain and relax patients and their friends and families.
