A tumour and/or treatments can upset a patient's nutritional balance. Assessment and regular monitoring are therefore required. This is carried out on a daily basis by the dietary department who carry out a dietary diagnostic, suggest customised menus and provide advice for when the patient returns home. An assessment of results is systematically carried out. Dieticians work in close collaboration with a care team and carry out consultations before, during and after hospitalisation.
Nutritional expertise is coordinated by the Food and Nutrition Liaison Committee that monitors nutritional care and the quality of all food services at the Institute.
