The activity of the department is focused on diagnostic and certain therapeutic activities. In association with biology, the diagnostic imaging aims for the identification of tumours more and more soon.

The technical support centre has the latest imaging resource required for diagnostic purposes and the monitoring of patients.

Technical Support Centre

A radio-diagnostic service on ground level with:

  • Conventional radio equipped with two radiology tables and one panoramic radiography ;
  • Ultrasound ;
  • Cross sectional imaging with a MRI and scanner.

 

A consultation service for breasts diseases on the first floor, equipped with devices allowing the exploration of the mammary gland:

  • Full field digital mammography ;
  • 2 ultrasounds dedicated to the breasts;
  • A table dedicated to radio-guided biopsy.

 

A nuclear medicine service on the second floor equipped with:

  • two gamma cameras ;
  • A TEP SCAN.

 

These techniques allow the simultaneous realization of the acquisition of images through a scanner and the merging with scintigraphic images which contribute to the localization of the lesions detected.

 

A protected hospitalization section on the third floor offers the patients treatment through vectored radio therapy.

The medical team composed of nuclear doctors and radiologists is assisted by technicians specialized in electro-radiology and medical assistants.
