Types of Cancer

There are many different types of cancer. They can be distinguished by their location and the type of tissue affected.

Types of cancer

  • carcinoma: cancer that develops in tissues that are entirely made up of epithelium cells. (skin, mucosa).
  • sarcoma: cancer that attacks supporting tissues such as bones or muscular tissue.
  • Hematopoietic cancer: blood cell cancers.
